The year 2026 is a historic spiritual event as Ramakrishna Math, Ooty is going to celebrate its Centenary, marking 100 years of service, devotion, and spiritual guidance from 1926 to 2026. This major event gets even more special with the presence of Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, President of the Worldwide Sri Ramakrishna Math and Mission, who has traveled all the way from Belur Math, Kolkata, to mark the beginning of the centenary celebrations.
The two-day centenary event, to be held on February 26 and 27, 2026, is expected to be spiritually elevating and culturally inspiring. On February 26 at 9.30 AM, a statue of Swami Vivekananda will be inaugurated at the Vivekananda Memorial Matriculation School in M. Palada, in memory of the immortal words of one of India’s most revered spiritual leaders. This will be followed by the inauguration of the Centenary Celebration at Meeckeri Village at 10.30 AM.
The festivities will also continue on the 27th of February at 4.30 PM with a public event at the Ooty Ramakrishna Math. Devotees are cordially invited to visit the Math on the evenings of the 26th and 27th of February to seek the blessings of Swamiji. The centenary celebration is not only an occasion but also a milestone in the history of spiritual service and dedication to the Nilgiris.
